John Wesley, then aged 87,
visited the Belson family in Leatherhead on 23 February 1791,
a week before he died. During his visit he gave his last homily
in a room in Kingston House,
where Wesley
House, the former Leatherhead UDC
offices now stand. This panel reflects
the legend that Wesley preached his last sermon under
the cedar tree which stood outside
Kingston House and then Wesley House, Bull Hill.
