The Royal School for the Blind

It was founded in Southwark in 1799 and this building in Highlands Road Leatherhead was opened in
1902. Edward VII conferred the title "Royal School for the Blind" in 1911, now known as SeeAbility.
Some former residents still live in modern flats on the site. The main buildings were sold and
though externally the same are now converted to upmarket flats and offices.
